April 11, 2024 - DCE partnered with the local SCORE chapter to deliver a mentor event featuring topics as diverse as Crypto/Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Mentorship, and Business Financing.

April 8, 2024 - Congratulations to Lindenwood student, Kaitlyn Mossinghoff who participated in the STLREE poster competition. Kaitlyn received instruction in Leanstack's Business Model Design as part of her Introduction to Business class.

February 21, 2024 - Lindenwood University was honored as a Community Value Alliance corporate partner for DCE's collaboration on non-profit education programs. Receiving the award was DCE Associate Director, Dr. Julie Turner.

November 29, 2023 - Lindenwood students from Dr. Karolina Schnieder's Intro to Business class participated in a Quick Pitch competition where they demonstrated their competencies with a portion of the LEANSTACK Business Model Design. Center director, Jim Mosquera served as guest lecturer in the class to prepare the students for the event.

November 15, 2023 - DCE Director Jim Mosquera participated as a judge in the local Battle of the Saints competition for high school students.

November 13, 2023 - Pleased to announce that our Center is a recipient of Missouri Technology Corporation's Regional Node Planning Grant. The goal of the grant is to assist entrepreneurial support organizations throughout Missouri in collaborating and leveraging their assets to effectively support innovation and entrepreneurship through coordinated partnerships within the node.

November 9, 2023 - DCE hosted its first Mentor Confab where we gathered our Mentors and invited guests for socialization and learning about Branding and the intersectionality of Artificial Intelligence and Entrepreneurship.

November 4, 2023 - Congratulations to Lindenwood students, Sherrese Hester and Ashely Shoemake for winning our pop-up shop competition. Both students displayed their wares at the Homecoming football game.

October 6, 2023 - DCE and Lindenwood University hosted over 100 high school students from public schools, private schools, and homeschoolers for a half-day workshop that included five separate breakout sessions.

October 2, 2023 - DCE welcomes Melissa Brown to the team. She'll serve the important role of business manager. Melissa is an experienced leader in the field of higher education serving in roles involving strategic planning, operations, and project management.

September 20, 2023 - Congratulations to LU student Christine Johnston for participating in the STLREE-sponsored pitching competition held during Startup Week.

July 1, 2023 - Jim Mosquera received appointment as Director of the Hammond Institute For Free Enterprise. He'll continue to serve as Duree Center Director.

August 28, 2023. Congratulations to our own, Quentin Ortega, who received his Mentor certification via the MentorUp program and was additionally nominated for Outstanding Mentor. Quentin serves as an Entrepreneur In Residence at the Center.

August 24, 2023. The Center would like to congratulate our second cohort in the MentorUp program. Special thanks to our business manager Connie Gallagher and our program manager Thomas Hørdam of We Love Mentors for making this cohort a great success!

May 30, 2023. The Duree Center for Entrepreneurship is pleased to announce Jeff Nock as our newest Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR). He has thirty years of leadership experience from CEO (twice) to startup entrepreneur (six startups), yielding a broad background from which to help company founders achieve their potential. Jeff has enjoyed two successful company exits and was part of a startup team that raised $127m in venture capital. He's also served as CEO during the acquisition of multiple companies.

May 23, 2023. Lindenwood University hosted the most recent meeting of the St. Louis Regional Entrepreneurial Educators meeting. This consortium meets for the purpose of collaboration on the topic of entrepreneurship. Discussed was the success of the first pitch competition and the nomination of leadership for the next term.

May 15, 2023. Duree Center Director, Jim Mosquera, announced the release of his latest novel, Seth's Epic Journey. The novel genre represents a departure from his previous novels that are political thrillers and certainly his non-fiction work.

April 26, 2023. The Duree Center hosted students from nine school districts for our Spring version of Immersive Entrepreneurship. Two of our Entrepreneurs In Residence, Pravina Pindoria and Devon Moody-Graham, provided a major portion of the programming. Students had a chance to listen to an entrepreneurial panel and learn about capital raises from Vik Lakhwara.

April 13, 2023. Duree Center Director Jim Mosquera sponsored Lindenwood University student Ramond Buck in the inaugural pitch competition sponsored by the St. Louis Regional Entrepreneurial Educators (STLREE) consortium. Mr. Buck competed against students from nine regional institutions of higher learning.

April 11, 2023. Duree Center Director, Jim Mosquera, engaged in a lively discussion with Lindenwood economics professor, Tawni Hunt-Ferrarini as part of the Get Money Smart series sponsored by The Hammond Institute. Does crypto have a place in our current and future monetary system or is it a fraud as some portend? Why is crypto a battle between liberty and authority?
